Al Sharpton's speech was amazing, and it made me proud to be american again, when I have so often been ashamed of it for the last few years. It's something you rarely see on TV anymore, and to be honest it's probably something we won't hear from Kerry unfortunately. Because a lot of americans are fat, lazy, and don't want anything to shake up their low carb, reality tv, puritanical fundmentalist lives. And the rest are too broke or too busy trying to make ends meet to pay attention. "The promise of America is government that does not seek to regulate your behavior in the bedroom but to guarantee your right to provide food in the kitchen." The promise of America provides that those who work in our health care system can afford to be hospitalized in the very beds that they clean everyday." (as evidenced by the "VIP" rooms they in the ICU units I just built at Memorial City hospital.) "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Ben Franklin (He's not a bad guy, I think we even thought so much of him we put him on on some money or something...)
