I watched 16 candles last night for the first time. Even though I've seen all the other John Hughes films, I somehow never happened upon this one on tv or on video. Of course I'd heard of it before, so last night I finally watched it, and it was funny. And totally 80's, which kicks ass. Of course no movies will ever be more 80's, to me, than Goonies. That movie has everything. Jerry did an entry on it a few days ago. And Millencolin has a new album coming out in early March, and I'm already excited as they have been my favorite band for some time, for more reasons than I care to elaborate on. I will say that Swedish punk rock may not be as "out there" as you think. Come to think of it, Sweden has all kinds of cool shit. I don't know of a band from there that's not original or cool, they have all that great porn, and the cough drops too. So yeah, they rock. I know a lot of you may think I'm joking here, but I'm not: I really would like to see swedish porn, featuring a girl in the "heidi" dress with pigtail braids and in a cottage, some guy blowing one of those weird standing horns, and some sort of swedish pastry flying around. How cool would that be? Speaking of pigtails, did anyone else notice that Dave Thomas died? Yeah the Wendy's guy. I saw it on the newswire yesterday that he died but at the time they didn't know why. I wonder if his daughter (Wendy) will take over on the commercials now? I have to go to a god-damn safety meeting today. Mreh. -- Ronnie
